![]() If your settlement is prestigious more immigrants and traders will come.Ī good strategy is to ensure that your villagers should only die due to age or calamity. If your welfare is not good, your settlement will not be prestigious. Remember the word “Welfare”, anything associated with the game goes back to the same word. Once defenses are established you can proceed in increasing your population, and you can do anything you want from then on. Keep the population in Neolithic at below 70 (68 is my preference) and keep acquiring KP on any possible way and and add some spiritual megaliths structures to increase prestige and prepare defenses. My target population is 36 on Mesolithic, make it stable and Advance to Neolithic. And with that said your population must be around 100. If you can stabilize welfare above 90 at all times, you can do a lot of things as to what you want your game will lead to.įor 20 years you must be facing steel armed raiders on hardcore already. Welfare imo is the most important aspect of the game and it should remain high (90 and above). I hope you are not playing rush and forget about the “welfare” of your villagers. What does it take to get to the cap? Better map monolith access and spamming them? The village is prospering despite the stagnated growth.ĮDIT: Once I got into the mid 90s of welfare I started getting 3, but with 1-2 deaths per raid (even as rare as they are) it's not gaining much. Other than sitting on max speed for ages not really doing anything new, I can't see what else I can really do. Average yearly workload for the last several years has been 50%-60% with the occasional 95% peak during harvest. But I can't get more people because I need more people. I usually get just 2 immigrants per event.Īny advice? Feels like to get more people, I need more people. I'm rarely losing people to raiders or beasts. I routinely have 8-15 extra housing space. Rarely more than 1 a year though, if that. Deaths due to old age are enough to counteract all immigration and births, with small setbacks compounding that with the odd death due to raiders or beasts. Surplus food doesn't seem to help much, perhaps? I am fairly sure I could support a population twice this size, even if I didn't have the extra manpower. 50 has been my average population for at least 20 years. My prestige is 328 (and all the megaliths are so SO far away it is raising extremely slowly. I haven't been able to get my settlement over 50 people for very long. ![]()
